Look for the Right Therapist

When looking for a Professional Service with a therapist you can trust, it can be daunting. Check that the Clinics are professional and reputable and the therapist is fully registered. The type of Clinic will tell you a lot about the therapist. Contact the therapist and talk to him/her and you will generally know whether you have chosen the right person. The price is uppermost in most people's mind, but don't sacrifice the certainty of a reputable therapist for the sake of saving pennies.

So you want a Colonic – Why Choose a Nutritional Therapist?

A Nutritional Therapist/Colon Hydrotherapist is fully qualified in anatomy and physiology and will be able to give you professional advice on diet and lifestyle alongside your Colonic Irrigation. This is a real bonus if you have been suffering with a condition for some time and very often Nutritional advice will be included in the price.

Herbal Enemas are often used in conjunction with colonics to aid the evacuation. If a client is suffering with flatulence, constipation, diarrhoea or parasites the therapist may use a herbal enema/coffee enema. (for more information - http://www.sawilsons.com/basicenema.htm)

Biological Testing Services

A Nutritionist/Colon Hydrotherapist may offer a Clinical Testing Service for many of the following ailments:- If you suffer with Irritable Bowel, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Bloating, Gas, Candida/Cystitis or Thrush, haemorrhoids, Headaches, Menopausal Issues, Skin Problems, Weight Gain/Loss, Insomnia, Frequent Infections, Asthma and Allergies, ensure that you have consulted the medical profession to discount any serious conditions before consulting your Nutritionist/Colon Hydrotherapist.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

A Nutritionist/Colon Hydrotherapist may offer Lymphatic Drainage Massage or work with a Lymph Drainage Masseur who will use Lymphatic Drainage prior to a Colon Hydrotherapy Session. Either way, many people find they experience extremely beneficial results from these combined therapies.

Understanding Acid and Alkaline and How the Body Detoxifies Itself through the Key Organs

With the Autumn Equinox rapidly approaching many people’s thoughts turn to eating and drinking alkalising foods to prepare the body for the winter months ahead and support the detoxifying organs.

Top Ten Alkalising Foods:

Lemons, Cucumbers, Celery, Avocado, Spinach, Garlic, Kale, Broccoli, Bell Peppers, Wheatgrass

The body is designed to be alkaline and functions optimally in this state. The optimum pH for our blood and body tissues is around 7.35-7.45. This is slightly above the neutral pH level of 7 which is between a pH of 0 (totally acidic), and a pH of 14 (totally alkaline). However, a lot of our everyday foods cause our body to be in a constant state of acidity. A constant state of acidity may trigger longterm chronic diseases. An alkaline diet helps to balance the pH levels of fluids in the body, including blood and urine.

The Gut Microbiome - are we more microbe than human?

Professor Robert Knight of the University of California, San Diego, US spoke to the BBC in 2018 stating that scientists say our human cells only make up 43% of the total cells in our body, the rest is bacteria.

CBD Hemp Oil

One of the compounds of cannabis is Cannabidiol or CBD. There are a number of medicinal uses for CBD oil (see below). People are more open to the medical benefits of CBD, especially now that it can be separated from the THC, known for its psychoactive effects. In order to separate CBD from the THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and other parts of the plant, it has to be extracted. The result is CBD hemp oil.
